LEUKAEMIA FOUNDATION CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

9am - 3pm Sunday 20 November (although I have to pack up at 2pm)
Fred Moule Pavillion, Cairns Showgrounds

Ruth and I will have a stall at the craft fair this year. Pop in and say hello. We will have some of our work on display and will be selling some handmade cards.

EXTRA SATURDAY CLASS

Ruth and I will be holding a joint cardmaking class next Saturday. Ruth will be teaching 2 cards/projects and I will be teaching 2 cards. Join us for an extra day of "me time".

EXTRA CHRISTMAS STAMP-A-STACK CLASS

Due to the success of the Christmas stamp-a-stack classes on the weekend, I'll be holding one further day for you to make some more Christmas cards. Doing 2 x 10 different designs was a bit ambitious, though, and some happy crafters didn't finish their 20 cards on time. For those booking in, I will ask you to choose the 5 designs you like and you can make 4 of each design to make up your 20 cards - there are "cutsie" and traditional options.

STAMP CLUB
 
We are looking for new members to join the stamp club that will be commencing in January 2012. 
 
How it works:-
 

• 6 happy crafters make a commitment to purchase at least $50 worth of SU! products each month for 6 months - a total "investment" of $300;
• you email your order to me by the 25th of each month;
• there will be a stamp club night once per month - come and have coffee/wine/chat and make 2 cards for free;
• take turns at playing the "hostess with the mostest" - you will receive the hostess benefits of at least $50 to spend.

The new Summer mini catalogue comes out on 1 December. I'll have some available at classes or if you'd like one posted to you, let me know.

Thursday 10 November - Prima Divas Roadshow
I'm off to Scrap Therapy's Prima Divas Roadshow on Thursday. I've booked in for 2 classes - 10am and 6pm. Since booking in, Tom's new school have advised that their Parent Information Night is 6 - 7pm. If anyone would like to take my spot for the 6pm class, please let me know. It's $125 for the class and that price includes all of the materials for a project featuring the Prima Flowers (yum!).

My samples are at this stage today ...

I've been having a play around with the soot stamping technique and loving it! I'll finish off 3 of these cards for our classes this week.

(Tuesday 1 November is Melbourne Cup day so we're not having a class on Tuesday.)

Come along and use my gear for a general cardmaking / scrapbooking session.
$20 for 3-4 hours of "me time"

We'll be away for the Friday 4 November class and will carry over the 3 soot cards for Tuesday 8 November.

Hi all

Just a quick email to let you know there won't be a class this Friday night (21 October) as we will have John's family up from Mackay.

I'll also cancel next Tuesday's class (25 October) because Chris's workshop is on Monday 24 October and it will be the same crew that attend .... all the more money to spend on STUFF!!

STAMP CLUB Wednesday 19 October

Stamp Club night is on tomorrow night if you can make it - 7.30pm.

The current Stamp Club is scheduled to expire in November. Please let me know if you would like to rejoin / join for the following 6-month period. It's a $50 committment per month for 6 months (that's right, you make a "committment" to shop - ha! Who needs a "committment" to spend money on craft stuff???) . You will be the hostess for one order during that period, entitling you to minimum hostess spendings of $50. There is also a free Stamp Club night once per month where we make 2 cards of your choice for free.

CHRISTMAS STAMP-A-STACK

STAMPIN FOR A CAUSE Saturday 22 October

Shannean is holding a Stamp for a Cause this Saturday at White Rock State School.

The event is fundraising for Sharon Cohr’s charity Climbing for a Cause which raises much needed money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (for breast cancer research, treatments and cures). Sharon was the first breast cancer survivor to summit Mt Everest in May this year and is an amazingly inspirational person. Shannean's fundraiser aims to raise awareness of her incredible journey, her ongoing charitable activities and raise extra funds to ensure a timely discovery of treatment and cure for breast cancer.


Shannean and her crew will be preparing 3 cards and a 3D project for us to create. The $30 fee includes all materials for the projects, light lunch, juice, tea and coffee. There will be raffles and auctions of SU! products so bring some extra cash - all money raised is being donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

THIS WEEK'S SAMPLES

I just love the cards for this week - again not my usual style but I really enjoyed making these kids cards. One of the best things about Stampin' Up! is the wealth of samples you can find online. Just Google "Stampin' Up Under the Big Top" and browse through the amazing samples that come up. This week's circus tent card and stage pop-up card are CASEd on the fabulous work of US SU! demonstrator, Heidi Baks - what a clever lady!

Please bring a paper scorer/trimmer, Stampin' Dimensionals (pop-up dots) and a blender pen if you have them.

Come along and visit the stall Ruth and I are holding. We will be one of over 138 stalls selling beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts. There will also be a cent sale and food and drinks available.

Proceeds from gold coin entry and stall fees to benefit the Leukaemia Foundation.
