Stamp Club

A new Stamp Club is scheduled to commence in February. Some members will be retiring or taking up as demonstrators so there are positions available.

What's Stamp Club?

The cutest description I've heard to describe the Stamp Club is a "Virtual Party" each month! 6 members make a commitment to buy $50 worth of products per month ... amounting to a $300 order each month. The 6 members then take turns being the hostess each month to take advantage of the hostess benefits (at least $50 to spend on your choice of products).

Please let me know asap if you'd like to be a member for the February - July period.

Class Schedule
New Year ... New Format

Classes commence on Friday 8 February for the 10am and 7.30pm classes. I am thinking of shifting the Friday evening classes (currently fortnightly) to 10am Sunday mornings on a monthly basis but for the moment, it will remain as is. The Friday 10am class will remain weekly.

Classes will be restricted to 7 students. I'll prepare 7 kits per class and if there are less then 7 students in a class, the kits can be purchased by people not attending. Please make sure you book in for each class to confirm your seat.

I'm also asking that you put together a "Class Tool Kit" that contains:-
  1. Bone folder;
  2. Paper trimmer with scorer;
  3. Tape / SNAIL adhesive;
  4. Stampin' Dimensionals / pop-up dots;
  5. Mini glue dots;
  6. Tombow Multi liquid glue (or similar);
  7. Paper-piercing tool and mat;
  8. Scissors;
  9. Craft knife;
  10. Stamp-a-ma-jig;
  11. Tweezers;
  12. Distressing tool;
  13. Pearls / Rhinestones if you like to add them to everything;
  14. Blender pen;
  15. Aqua-painter; and
  16. Current catalgoue(s).
Happy days.

Hope you're fitting in heaps of time at the craft table! Yours truly is looking forward to school returning so I can also have some quality time at the craft table!

The new Stampin' Up Paper Trimmer is available

Features of the All-New Stampin' Trimmer
  • An extra-wide 15.9 cm cutting base and an extended 39 cm ruler
    • The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 4 mm increments, allowing for small measurements.
    • The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
    • The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts.
    • When fully extended, the extended cutting arm sits flush with the trimmer base, providing more accurate and consistent measurements across the entire surface.
    • All rulers and measurements on the base are printed under a plastic cover so your measurements won't wear off.
    • The base has nonskid feet, which keeps the Stampin' Trimmer securely in place on your work area.
  • A full 30.5 cm cutting and scoring track
    • The extra-long cutting track has space at the top and bottom so you don't have to take the cutting and scoring blades out when you're not using them.
    • The track gives you enough space to cut or score a full 30.5 cm without having to remove or switch out handles.
    • The cutting track locks in place for secure storage or transport.
    • The track includes an insertion point for cutting and scoring blade handles so you can easily insert handles into the cutting track.
  • Specially designed handles and cutting track to ensure straight cuts
    • The hook on the scoring and cutting blade handles keeps the handles stable so the cuts are as straight as possible.
    • Handles come in two colours: dark for cutting, light for scoring.
    • The precision tip on the cutting blade allows you to pinpoint precisely where you're cutting.
    • The point on the side of each handle shows you where the blade will cut, making it easy to see exactly where your cuts and scores will begin.
  • Storage compartment under base
    • The storage compartment holds scoring and cutting tools such as a Bone Folder, Simply Scored Stylus, extra scoring and cutting blades and even business cards.
    • Separate compartments within the storage compartment keep your tools organised, and the clear cover makes it easy to see what you've stored.
  • Product details: item 129722; $49.95

Don't forget I do Christmas Vouchers!

Enjoy this crazy time of year!

Classes Friday 16 November and Christmas Bouquet Sunday 18 November

Thank you to everyone who called in to see us at the Leukaemia Foundation Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday. We received great feedback on our stall.

It's a busy week this week with Stamp Club, two classes and the bouquet class on Sunday.

We've got visitors next week so we'll have a class this Friday night to make up for it.

This Week's Classes

We'll be using the Everything Eleanor stamp set this week. There is so much you can do with this set. I found 17 pages of things I liked and have put them up on the Drop Box. I've cased these cards from Sandi McIver. Tami White and Becky Jensen.

Just a reminder the day class will start at 9am this week so I can make it to Tom's swimming carnival in the afternoon.

9am and 7.30pm Friday 16 November
5 Capricorn Street, Bentley Park
$20 for 3 cards - all materials and equipment provided
Kits also available

Everything Eleanor stamp set
Wood mount $63.95
Cling mount $50.95

Elegant Christmas Bouquet Class

Completely made with cardstock (and florist wire/tape) you, too, can make this bouquet and apply the same flower-making techniques to any type of flower arrangement. Just love the pine cones!

This Elegant Christmas Bouquet was designed by a fabulous SU! demonstrator in the US, Leigha Rock. With Leigha's permission, you will receive a copy of her fabulous tutorial. The kits will be pre-punched and will contain a roll of florist tape, box, florist's foam, wire etc so you can complete this project.

Class details:
10am - 2pm Sunday 18 November
Plan B Cafe, 183 Bruce Highway, Edmonton (service road, next to Lifeline)
$40 for kit to complete project - materials and equipment provided (however, bring a hot-glue gun, stylus and flower-shaping tools if you have them)

Kits available if you're happy to follow Leigha's (fabulous and comprehensive) tutorial at home.

I've had to pre-purchase a lot of the gear so would appreciate it if there were no cancellations.

Have a look at this old flower making tool kit Tammy has from her grandmother. Isn't it fabulous?

Stamp Club

It's Stamp Club tonight. Please make sure you email me your orders so I can send it off tonight - the post is taking a little over a week these days. Michelle is the hostess-with-the-mostest.

Have a great week.
